Booking, Payment and Cancellation Terms

1. Booking

Bookings are subject to availability at the campsites, refuges, and other service providers required to organize the trek.

Your trek booking is considered confirmed once the necessary availability has been found and the corresponding reservations have been made at the various campsites and refuges within the park.

Hike in Patagonia is responsible for organizing and coordinating the different services included in your trek.

2. Payment

Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit equivalent to 50% of the total trek price, as well as 100% of the cost of the selected meal option.

The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 2 months before the start date of your trek.

If your trek starts within 2 months of the booking date, the full amount of the booking must be paid at the time of booking.

The booking will only be considered final once the corresponding payment has been received.

3. Payment Methods

Several payment methods are available:

A. Payment via Revolut

Payment via Revolut allows you to make a secure payment, generally with lower transaction fees.

B. Bank Transfer

The bank details required to make the payment will be provided at the time of booking.

Any bank fees or currency exchange fees related to the payment are the responsibility of the client.

4. Prices

All prices are stated in euros (€) and are per person, unless otherwise indicated.

Prices may be changed without prior notice depending on the rates applied by our different service providers.

However, once a payment has been made and confirmed, the agreed price for the relevant services will remain unchanged.

5. Cancelation and Changes

Due to the nature of the trek and the advance reservations made with campsites, refuges, transportation companies, and other service providers, confirmed bookings cannot be cancelled or rescheduled at the client’s request.

In the event of a change of plans, change of dates, or cancellation by the client, no refund can be guaranteed.

Services that have been booked in advance and already paid for with our service providers may be subject to their own cancellation and refund policies. Where a refund is possible, Hike in Patagonia will refund the client the amounts actually recovered from the relevant service providers, after deduction of any applicable fees.

Services not used by the client, for any reason, are not eligible for a refund, including accommodation nights, meals, transportation, excursions, tours, or any other services booked in advance.

6. Changes to the Trek

Hike in Patagonia reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the itinerary or planned services when necessary due to safety concerns, weather conditions, trail closures, restrictions imposed by park authorities, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Whenever possible, the client will be informed of any changes as soon as possible, and an alternative solution may be offered.

7. Client Responsibility

Trekking in Torres del Paine takes place in a natural mountain environment and may involve difficult weather conditions, uneven terrain, strong winds, rain, snow, and other risks inherent to hiking.

Each participant is responsible for their own safety, equipment, and physical condition, and must comply with the rules and instructions established by the park authorities, as well as the recommendations provided by Hike in Patagonia.

Hike in Patagonia cannot be held responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the client’s individual participation in the trek or from failure to follow safety instructions.

Luggage and personal belongings remain the responsibility of their owner throughout the trek.

8. Delays and No-Show

Hike in Patagonia cannot be held responsible for any consequences resulting from late arrival, transportation delays, or the client’s failure to show up for any of the services or accommodations included in the trek.

Services missed under these circumstances are not eligible for a refund.

9. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that every traveler purchase travel insurance appropriate to the nature of the trek and the destination, covering, in particular, cancellation, medical expenses, assistance, repatriation, and emergency evacuation.

Each traveler is responsible for checking the coverage and exclusions included in their insurance policy.

Hike in Patagonia cannot be held responsible for any costs that are not covered by the traveler’s insurance.

10. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of the deposit or the full booking amount constitutes the client’s acknowledgment that they have read, understood, and accepted these booking, payment, cancellation, and modification terms.

These terms apply to all services booked through Hike in Patagonia.
